Chuck Musciano is currently the Chief Information Officer for Osmose Utilities Services. Osmose is the premier provider of inspection, maintenance, and repair services for our nation’s power and telecommunications infrastructure, inspecting and maintaining millions of utility poles and steel tower structures on behalf of utilities across the United States. Mr. Musciano is responsible for Osmose’s enterprise infrastructure and applications, mobile field devices and services, and end user computing platforms. He develops enterprise technology strategy, promotes internal and external strategic IT policy and compliance relationships, and promotes enterprise governance and technology alignment across the company.

Leveraging 41 years of experience in computing and technology, Mr. Musciano is a transformational CIO, helping companies transform, align, and optimize their technology platforms to drive business success and shareholder value. Over his 26 year tenure as a CIO, he has addressed technology challenges facing the sport of purebred dogs for the American Kennel Club, the construction aggregates industry for Martin Marietta Materials, and real-time medical transcription services for M*Modal. Across this diverse range of industries, he has consistently helped companies shed legacy systems, embrace new tools, and solve a broad range of business problems, using technology if necessary. He is well-versed in every aspect of enterprise architecture, application development, and customerfocused technology delivery.

Prior to becoming a CIO, Mr. Musciano spent 15 years developing software, researching parallel computer architectures, and managing enterprise technology operations. He has written extensively in the trade press, is a successful blogger at www.effectivecio.com, and authored the book HTML & XHTML: The Definitive Guide, published by O’Reilly and Associates. He has served as a Board Member for both the North Carolina State University Computer Science Strategic Advisory Board and the North Carolina State University Institute for Advanced Analytics. He is a past Board Vice-Chair for the Triangle Technology Executives Council and a past Board member of the North Carolina Technology Association. Mr. Musciano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information & Computer Science fromGeorgia Institute of Technology. He lives in Newnan, GA with his wife.
